As a Fair Trade certified brand, we are committed to providing our artisans with optimal working conditions and living-wages 60% higher than the average corporate salary in the West Bank. Each and every Darzah purchase contributes to artisan salaries, employment programs, and job training in the West Bank.

What is Tatreez?

Tatreez is a form of traditional embroidery practiced across various Middle Eastern and North African cultures, particularly prominent in Palestinian and Jordanian communities. This art form involves intricate stitching using colorful threads to create geometric patterns and motifs.

About Darzah

Darzah is a non-profit, ethical fashion brand creating authentic, handmade Palestinian products. The embroidery style, tatreez, is a traditional art form passed down through centuries of women. Our goal is to bring tatreez apparel and décor to the world in order to celebrate and preserve Palestinian heritage.

The Kuffiyeh Apron is a collaborative piece from Darzah and Fufu’s Kitchen that is 100% handmade and Fair Trade certified. This partnership seeks to give back to the Palestinian community that has inspired the products and recipes created by Darzah and Fufu’s Kitchen.

Darzah is a non-profit organization offering handmade products that are ethically-made. Our artisans are women from the West Bank who have faced marginalization in the form of low-income and gender inequality. Our mission is to economically empower these women through fair wages and working conditions.

Fufu’s Kitchen is an award-winning food blog by Heifa Odeh that shares Palestinian cuisine and culture with the world. Through her recipes, Heifa allows her readers to reconnect with their heritage and recreate cherished dishes.
